Young Creatives Program Recieves Jackson National Grant
JNCF Awards $4,750 to Arts Council’s Youth Program
The Arts Council is pleased to announce a $4,750 grant from Jackson National Life Insurance Company’s Jackson National Community Fund in support of the Arts Council’s Young Creatives Program. The Program was founded in 2014 with the goal of advocating for and supporting the arts and arts education for the capital region’s youth.
Five components
The Young Creative’s Program has five key components, including grants, youth art billboards, a comprehensive guide of arts programing for youth, youth arts advocacy and the Artists-in-Residence program, which puts teaching artists into Lansing schools to partner and collaborate with the district to create integrated arts programming.
Generous sponsors
We could not continue to grow this program without the support of all of our generous sponsors. We are extremely grateful to Jackson National for this generous grant, and to all of those who helped fund this youth effort: Michigan State Federal Credit Union, Dart Foundation, Rotary Club of Lansing, Adams Outdoor Advertising, My18, Art Works and Michigan Council for Arts & Cultural Affairs.
