ABOUT TAYLOR HASLETT
Taylor is a Saginaw native and a proud Lansing transplant. During her time in Lansing, she has gained both academic and professional experience in the arts, focused around programming, community development, educational outreach and grant writing.Taylor started her journey at the Arts Council in 2015 as a program intern and officially joined the team in 2017. She holds a B.A. in interdisciplinary studies in social science and an M.A. in arts and cultural management from Michigan State University. In her current role, she facilitates the Arts Council's grant and smARTS programs as well as works to lift up the Council's membership of local artists and organizations. The arts have been a part of Taylor's life since a young age, and she has always felt compelled to pursue them. In 2020, Taylor was a part of the Michigan Arts and Cultural Council's “Rising Leaders” leadership program. Whether studying the arts in New York City, or being a teaching artist in Lansing schools, Taylor is dedicated to connecting communities through a mutual passion for the purpose of life: creation.
