More Than $150,000 in Local Grants awarded for Ingham County Hotel/Motel Funds for Arts and Tourism
The Arts Council of Greater Lansing and Ingham County are pleased to announce the 2026 Ingham County Hotel/Motel Funds for Arts and Tourism grantees. This year, grant funds totaling $159,661.43 were distributed to area arts organizations. The arts and tourism awards were given to 16 Capital Region arts and cultural organizations in an effort to support their publicity programs and boost tourism to the Greater Lansing Region.
“This is an excellent grant program that allows us to support the projects of our area arts and culture organizations, and provides them with needed funds to market their work beyond our local communities,” said Meghan Martin, Arts Council executive director. “We are so proud of this partnership with Ingham County, and are so honored to administer these grants to our arts and culture organizations every year.”
Arts and tourism funding was provided to the following organizations:
Against All Odds; All of the Above Hip Hop Academy; Anishinaabe Friendship Center; Capital City Film Festival; East Lansing Art Festival; Eli and Edythe Broad Art Museum; Lansing Entertainment and Public Facilities Authority; Lansing Symphony Association; Lansing Pride; Lansing LIT; Nokomis Cultural Heritage Center; Old Town Commercial Association; Sycamore Creek Church; REACH Studio Art Center; Riverwalk Theatre; Wharton Center for Performing Arts
“What better way to boost tourism in our region than by showcasing the rich arts and culture offerings we have in Greater Lansing,” said Julie Pingston, president and CEO of Choose Lansing. “These grants help our local organizations expand their marketing outside the region and shine a brighter light on Greater Lansing’s creative culture, which is important for our entire arts community,” Pingston said.
Ingham County Hotel/Motel Funds for Arts and Tourism were established to support the production of marketing materials to attract out-of-county visitors to Ingham County.
