Progressing to the Grove
January Creative Mixer Heads to E. Lansing
It’s hard to believe that we are talking about January already, but it’s just around the corner and so is our January Creative Mixer taking place at Grove Gallery & Studios on Grove Street in East Lansing.
Art in progress
We are very excited to take our mixer to the Grove, as it is a truly unique space, which offers both exhibit and studio space, so guests can enjoy completed works but also view “art in progress,” and experience the artist’s studio space.
A visual symphony
During the month of January the Grove Gallery & Studios is presenting “Thread Songs,” a visual symphony of surface designed textiles, featuring the works of fiber artists, Sharan Egan and Candace Farmer.
“In the same way that poetry, melody, rhythm, and repetition all give structure and form to music and song, Sharan and Candace use similar techniques with needle, thread and stitch, and paint and print to create a visual feast of unique surface designed textiles and fabrics.”
Join us at the Grove
Please join us on Thursday, Jan. 29 from 5-7 p.m. to mix and mingle with fellow artists and members of the arts community. As always, this is a free event, and light appetizers and wine will be served. Parking is available at the Grove Street Parking Garage, 330 Grove St, East Lansing. Make sure and register and please bring a friend or two or three!
