The Arts Council of Greater Lansing is currently accepting nominations for their annual Applause Awards, which recognize members and organizations in the Greater Lansing community for their work in supporting, promoting and furthering the arts in our region.

Each year, nominations are accepted in seven (7) different categories:

1) Ted Sondag Individual Leadership Award
2) Business Leadership Award
3) Civic Leadership Award
4) Individual Artist Award
5) Arts and Cultural Organization Award
6) Arts Educator Award
7) Creative Community Award

The aim of the Applause Awards is to recognize individuals, businesses, organizations and other advocates who have made significant contributions to the arts in the Capital Region through their leadership, commitment, vision and support. Awardees will be honored at our 40th Annual Holiday Glitter event held on Tuesday, Dec. 3, 2019 at the University Club of MSU.

We encourage everyone to make a nomination (or several) of any persons deserving of an Applause Award. The application is online and simple to fill out. Deadline for nominations is Monday, Oct. 14, 2019 at 11:59 p.m.
