The Arts Council of Greater Lansing is pleased to announce that we are once again partnering with the University Club of MSU for its second annual bus excursion to Grands Rapids’ spectacular, international art event, ArtPrize. Join us on this exclusive bus trip that kicks off with breakfast at the U-Club followed by a full day of art, food and fun!
Stellar Event
Each year ArtPrize enjoys more than 400,000 attendees at its 170 plus venues (including restaurants, museums, bridges, parking lots and more). The event has nearly 2,000 entries annually, plus it’s free and open to the public, which makes it a stellar arts event.
Greater Lansing Artists
There are so many Greater Lansing creatives who participate in ArtPrize each year. This year, more than 20 Greater Lansing region have their work featured, and more than 350 Michigan artists are represented in total. To find out who is participating, search your region on the ArtPrize website. Your attendance supports the arts and Lansing artists!
This ArtVenture is also the perfect way to experience ArtPrize…just sit back and let the U-Club and Dean Trailways take the wheel. This ArtPrize package costs $95 and includes the following:
full breakfast, round-trip luxury coach transportation from the University Club of MSU to Grand Rapids, hors d’oeuvres during a cash-bar reception, three-course dinner at the U-Club Grand Rapids with its 10th-floor dining and spectacular Grand Rapids views, plus all taxes and service charge.
Itinerary*:
7:30 — Full breakfast buffet at the University Club of MSU
8:00 — Depart U-Club for Grand Rapids
9:00 — Arrive at Meijer Gardens, register, tour exhibits
9:45 — Depart Meijer Gardens
10:00 — Arrive Downtown Grand Rapids at DeVos Center
10:15 — Participants head out on their own to explore the city and the art (lunch on your own)
5:00 — Participants gather for cocktails (cash bar, with one drink
ticket included)and hors d’oeuvres reception at the University Club of
Grand Rapids (across the street from the DeVos Center)
5:45 — Dinner at the University Club of Grand Rapids
7:15 — Depart U-Club Grand Rapids for U-Club MSU
8:30 — Arrive at U-Club MSU
