Arts Roll Call Episode 30: Cait Anders Schneider–Reflections on Art and Nature

Welcome to episode 30 of Arts Roll Call, a podcast for the arts curious. Join host Robin Miner Swartz as she interviews artist Cait Schneider. They talk about Cait’s journey as an artist, their love of the earth and its beauty, and how the two connect within her work. She also shares about a new piece that just went up in REO Town.

Meet Cait
Cait is a longtime Eastside resident, urban farmer, muralist, and interdisciplinary artist. Cait grew up in rural Michigan, where they benefited from unlimited access to woods and wetlands, as well as from the encouragement of teachers to pursue art with a high level of craftsmanship. They graduated from MSU with a degree in art and graphic design and have spent over a decade making things beautiful with their commercial design work. She is an Artpath muralist, contributor to the Lansing Letters, and has painted murals locally at the Lansing Bike Co-op, ELFCO, and the Meridian Township Farmers Market. Cait’s art is deeply rooted in their love for the physical world and the way that close observation allows us to connect to each other, the natural world.

Have a look and a listen.
