Arts Council Announces Grantees of Ingham County Hotel/Motel Tax Funds for Arts and Tourism

Arts Council Announces Grantees

Ingham County Hotel/Motel Tax Funds for Arts and Tourism

As a re-granting agency, the Arts Council proudly administers funding programs for numerous entities each year. Therefore, it is with great pleasure that we announce the 21 non-profit organizations awarded publicity and promotion grants for 2014 through the Ingham County Hotel/Motel Tax Funds for Arts and Tourism.

These funds provide grant opportunities to non-profit arts and cultural organizations located in Ingham County that are established primarily for cultural, educational, artistic, historical or entertainment purposes. The grant program supports the production of publicity and promotional materials utilized to attract out-of-county visitors into Ingham County.

“The Arts Council is proud to administer Ingham County Hotel/Motel Tax Funds for Arts and Tourism on behalf of the county,” says Deborah E. Mikula, Arts Council executive director. “We recognize the importance of the arts in bringing tourists into the Lansing area, and we are pleased to support the promotional activities of arts and cultural organizations, which, in turn, attract visitors.”
